Omar Thor Arason has had the good fortune to have lived and worked in Iceland, England, Norway, Denmark, and now the USA. A recent graduate from CSUS in studio art, he focuses almost entirely on painting. His work is an attempt to synthesize and reconcile, in pictorial form, the different ideologies and mythologies he has explored in his short, nomadic life. Arason's work has received many awards and scholarships including, a CSUS Purchase Award, an Increase Robinson Fellowship, a Witt Scholarship Award, and an Award of Excellence at the California State Fair Fine Art Exhibition.
